How Kernquill evaluates a token

This page explains the research process behind a Kernquill token evaluation. It describes a method for examining an asset, not a promise about that asset or its outcome.

Five lenses

The questions behind the ticker.

A token can have a compelling story and still carry dependencies that matter more than the headline. These five lenses keep the read structured and uncertainty visible.

  1. 01

    Utility

The problem the token is intended to solve, who uses it, and how the token participates. We distinguish what can be observed from what is merely claimed.

  2. 02

    Market context

The market regime, liquidity and attention, relevant narratives, and the setting around the asset rather than price in isolation.

  3. 03

    Token economics

Supply, emissions, unlocks, allocations, incentives, concentration, demand, and the dependencies behind any value-capture story.

  4. 04

    Catalysts

Upcoming events, launches, milestones, unlocks, governance, and delivery dependencies, with possibility distinguished from certainty.

  5. 05

    Material risks

Execution, liquidity, dilution, concentration, regulatory, protocol and security, dependency, and thesis-invalidating risks, including meaningful unknowns.

Process and boundary

Useful research keeps its edges visible.

Observable information first

A useful evaluation puts observable information, assumptions, counterpoints, catalysts, and uncertainty beside one another.

The goal is a clearer research record: what is known, what is inferred, what could change the read, and what remains unknown.

Research, not individualized advice

Kernquill evaluations are informational research, not personalized investment advice.

Kernquill does not give individualized buy, sell, or hold instructions and cannot guarantee performance.
